Do You Have DSL

High-Speed Internet Service Through Your Phone Line

If you've had DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) service added to your home after an EMC Security system was installed, a special filter may be required for the security system and your DSL connection to operate properly. Not having this filter installed may restrict the alarm system from communicating with the central monitoring station when needed. The only way to remedy this problem is to install a DSL filter built for security alarm systems to separate the computer/Internet signal from the alarm.

The basic filters provided by your telephone company will not function on the security system due to the size of the connectors required. EMC Security can help you locate the proper filter or mail one to you at a cost of $35.00 plus sales tax.
