Georgia’s Most Dangerous Cities
Georgia is full of beautiful landscapes, gorgeous beaches, and historical towns. But it also has a few cities that have placed Georgia in the top 3rd of the nation for most dangerous states.
Housegrail updated their list of the most dangerous cities in Georgia for 2022. Below is a recap.
The list ranks Georgia cities with over 5,000 people and is based on a ratio of both violent and property crimes per population.

| 3. | Morrow | 419 | 9,062 | Ranked #7 last year, Morrow is actually the least violent city on the list but the property crime is the highest for the state, more than 300% higher than the national average. |
| 4. | Americus | 840 | 5,526 | Also ranked higher than last year, Americus is the Home to Habitat for Humanity’s international headquarters, and the highest incidents of reported rape crimes in the state. |
| 5. | Douglasville | 582 | 5,300 | Douglasville is a suburb of Atlanta with high property and violent crime. Murders are very low in this area despite the high crime rate. |
| 6. | Bainbridge | 675 | 3,912 | Located in SW Georgia with the 2nd highest rate of burglaries. |
| 7. | Warner Robins | 471 | 5,500 | In many ways, Warner Robins is a decent place for families to live in Georgia. However, the crime rate is surprisingly quite high for this suburban community. |
The best way to stay safe in Georgia is to avoid these areas and others with high crime rates. Crime happens in and near shopping areas at night in many cases, so avoid those areas. If that’s not possible, a home security system with cameras will help deter criminals that might target your home.
